Where do you recommend around the Kinki region for this kind of trip?

There are a lot of shinto shrines to pray in Kinki region, but I would like to visit a shrine which is less crowded as my child is still small. Please tell me shrines and temples that likely give us a divine favor and recommended inns.

I recommend Hotel Nikko Nara. It is directly connected to Nara Station west exit so very convenient and easy to go to all directions. You can make a walking plan at your own pace. The hotel is clean and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet includes specialties of Nara. I think your child will be happy.

Good value for the money

How about Hotel Nikko Nara with good value for the money and direct link to JR Nara Station West Exit? It is also convenient to go to tourist destinations for worship. The drawback is its small sized rooms though it is in a good location, but I think it’s better to give a priority to the location this case. Dinner and breakfast are both buffet meals, but are in good variety and delicious.

It is relatively cheap and easy to book a room, and you can stay in peace

Kyoto is still recommended in Kansai area, but it may be difficult to make a
reservation during this period.
To enjoy sightseeing in Kyoto or New Year's visit to a Shinto shrine, you can stay in Nara and go to Kyoto by train. It doesn’t take too long.
Also there are a lot of tourist sites in Nara, so you kill two birds with one stone.

Traffic links are good

It is a 2-minute walk from JR Kyoto Station and has very good traffic links. You can also pray from the sky of Kyoto at Tawawa Shrine on the rooftop. Cafes, shopping malls, and bus stops are nearby and it is convenient for everything such as sightseeing and souvenir shopping.

It is cheap and convenient for New Year's visit to a Shinto shrine.

It located in the center of Kyoto, and is close to Heian Shrine and Yasaka Shrine for New Year's visit. It may be good idea to go up the top of the Kyoto Tower with shape of candle to see the first sunrise of the year. I hope your three-year old doesn’t get grizzled. What about Arashiyama to avoid a congestion?

A convenient inn near a station with good transport links, where you can enjoy both temples and hot springs

I tried to think about some of the major temples and shrines. "Kasuga Taisha Shrine" in Nara is lively but not too crowded. If you walk from the inn, it takes about 20 minutes on a flat shopping street where deers can be seen on the way, or to ride a city circular bus is faster and easy if no traffic jam (about 10 minutes / 200 yen)! Even with this way, you can enjoy street stalls. It is also easy to go to other cities with Kintetsu and JR lines. You can even go to USJ if you go a little further! There are no open-air baths overlooking mountains or the sea, though.

Satisfaction from great healing experience, together with your family

The hot springs, facilities, very tasty dishes, and more than anything, the reasonable prices are great. It is close to Kashihara Jingu and perfect for New Year's visit to a Shinto shrine. There are Japanese and Western-style rooms. A rustic hot spring inn in the Totsukawa Onsen village

It is located along the Totsukawa Road which was one of the Kumano Kodo routes. How about to enjoy Dorokyo and hot springs after the New Year's visit to Tamaki Shrine or Kumano Taisha?
There are Nara Kotsu’s long-haul bus services that connect Yamato Yagi and Shingu so transport links are not bad.
Previously, it seems that there were teahouses on Kumano Kodo and settlements of mountain people. It was the hot spring inn with heartwarming hospitality.

A resort hotel with natural hot springs♪

Baths are in many kinds and spacious, so you can fully enjoy hot springs.
The price is cheap and you feel casual as they don’t give you excessive services.
Specialties of Tamba are incorporated with the meals casually, but not pompously.
Your child can also enjoy as they offer popular dishes for kids such as curry & rice.
