I’d like to visit some art galleries and museums in Tokyo. I’m looking for a hotel for a night and my budget is around 10,000 yen. I prefer to stay at a hotel which is closer to the station.

Close to Shinkyuku station and convenient

This is a big hotel and directly connected to Shinjyuku station via underground so you can easily travel anywhere in Tokyo. It’s convenient but the price is reasonable. Even though this hotel is close to the west gate of Shinjyuku station, it’s quiet at night. However, there are many guests from overseas so it might be busy and noise around the front desk.

Convenient and cheap

I stayed at this hotel once and staying in Shingyuku is convenient to access to the transportation system such as JR. If you stay there without meals, the rate will be less than 10,000yen. The room is clean and you can have a relaxed time. This hotel is located on the hill and there are cherry blossom trees on the way to go there. You can see the nice view so I highly recommend this hotel.

Close to the station and good access to transportation

This hotel became a lot cleaner since the renovation. Akihabara station will be your base to visit the art gallery and museum so the location of this hotel is convenient. It takes 2mins by foot from the station. There are many restaurants around the hotel so you have many options. I like personally having a dinner at ‘Gasuraito’ which used to be located inside of this hotel.

It’s close to the station.

This hotel is conveniently located in front of Akihabara station where you can use many train lines. I didn’t get lost to reach there by foot from the station. This hotel has been renovated and the life is operated by the card key. I stayed on the floor for ladies. I could have a calm stay without being bothered by the noise from the main street.

The garden is an art.

Basically there aren’t huge differences where you stay within Yamanote line in terms of access to transportation. Tsubaki sou is located in the centre of Tokyo and their garden and the building inside and lanterns are fantastic! It cost a bit more than 10,000yen and you need to walk a bit from the station but you can enjoy the magnificent view. I believe that you’ll be satisfied with your stay.

You can start your trip from Hachiouji, the treasure of art galleries

Hachiouji has a lot of art galleries such as Tokyo Fuji Art Museum. I recommend that you start your trip from Hachiouji to visit spots along Cyuou line. I recommend Keiou Plaza Hotel. It’s conveniently in front of Hachiouji station and the rate is reasonable. I have stayed there often. You can have a relaxed time at the room.

hotel located between Suiboubashi and Iidabashi so you can conveniently use both JR and subway

This hotel is located located between Suiboubashi station and Iidabashi station. Iidabashi has also subway station so you can conveniently us both JR and subway. I think staying at this hotel is convenient to access to the art gallery and museum in any directions. It’s convenient to have restaurants and many shops inside of the hotel. There are many restaurants of Japanese, Western, Chinese and Korean food next to the hotel. There are also a few Izakaya. Therefore, you can choose what to eat and drink according to your mood. Of course convenient store and drug store are nearby so you’ll have no problems.

Close to the station and convenient to access everywhere

I this staying at this hotel is convenient to access all facilities you have mentioned. The area around Shinagawa station is on the process of redeveloping lately so it’s convenient for eating out or shopping. If you travel from the west, you can take a train to Tokyo station on the first day and then you can visit Edo Tokyo museum and Asakusa before heading to the hotel. On second day, you leave your bags at the hotel and then you visit the spots in the west so that you can go home by shinkansen from Shinagawa.

I recommend Shinjyuku.

It’s difficult to give you some recommendation as your destination isn’t fixed. But I think Shinjyuku or Shibuya is convenient to access to ‘Kaninoge’ od Tokyu Ooimachi line, ‘Ebisu’ of JR Yananote line and ‘Ryoukoku’ of JR Soubu line. I recommend ‘Odakyu Hotel Century Southern Tower’ in Shinjyuku because it is close to the station and easy to access. This hotel is located very near the south gate of Shinjyuku station. To go to Gotoh museum, you need to go to Shibuya by Yamanote line and then go to Jiyuugaoka by Tokyu to change the train to Ooimachi line. You can directly access to Ebisu and Ryoukoku by Yamanote line and Soubu line.

2mins by foot from JR. You can reach this hotel right after passing through the gate of Tokyo metro. It’s bargain price.

I think staying at Shibuya is most convenient and cheapest if you want to go to Gotoh Museum, Yamatane Art Gallery and Edo Tokyo Museum. All rooms are with humidification air cleaner so you’ll not have a sore throat due to the dryness. You can have a comfortable stay there especially in this season. You can stay there from 6500yen. With extra money from your budget, I recommend that you eat Japanese-Western buffet breakfast which costs 1500yen. It’s so delicious!

Kiba park is a perfect place to take a walk such as to the Museum of contemporary art Tokyo (inside of Kiba park). You can easily access to everywhere from Kiba station. Fukagawa Hachimangu and Fukagawa shitamachi museum are nearby. You can eat a lot of nice shitamachi food there. It takes about 8mins to go to Tokyo station from Kiba station by subway.
