The Yuhata is there

The Yuhata is at the front of the hotel. You can enjoy the high-class Japanese cuisine cooked with the seasonal ingredients until your stomach is content. The open-air hot-spring is wrapped with the dreamy atmosphere after sunset and looks splendid. The hotel staff’s responses, the facilities, the rooms and the hot-spring are all very satisfactory.

he hot-spring water is special. / As it is a calm atmosphere hotel, you can relax

The Kusatsu hot-spring is often ranked on high place in the hot-spring popularity ranking. All over Japan, the quality of hot-spring waters are different depending on the area, but this strong acid hot-spring water is really special. In the Kusatsu hot-spring area, there are 6 different hot-spring sources and depending on the location, a different quality of hot-spring water can be enjoyed. This inn, “Ichinoi” has been using the “Yuhatamae Shirohata source” and the “Shiranesan Mandai source”. You can taste the quality of the Kusatsu hot-spring. When I stayed at this inn, I didn’t see any family with small children, so it will be just right for you, a married couple to spend the quiet time.

As the name shows, it is the No.1 inn with the hot-spring from the Kusatsu hot-spring source in the Gunma prefecture.

The inn owner (female) is very friendly. I’m sure that she is the head of the Japan proprietress Association. You can stay feeling secure. The meal is substantial. You can enjoy visiting the hot-spring sources or other hot-springs. Depending on the season or one’s age, the way one enjoys is different. Every year, I enjoy my poor skiing with my friends on the Kokusai ski-slope, the hot-spring and the Karaoke near the inn.

One of the famous hot-springs in Kyushu

This inn is close to the Yufuin town, so it’s convenient for sightseeing. It’s a 10-minute-ride in a car from the IC. The room is Japanese-styled. The hot-spring is half open, so it is well ventilated to take a bath for a longer time. The charge is reasonable. The hot-spring water in Yufuin is famous for its quality among the ones in the Oita prefecture. You can enjoy a ride on a carriage around the station.

enjoy the hot-spring and the sea-products to the full

The Katsuura hot-spring is a historical hot-spring area with the quality, effective spring-water. Many inns are facing the sea and you can enjoy the fresh sea-products. This hotel has many hot-spring baths, so you can enjoy visiting them. For doing so, you need to stay there more than 2 nights which is just the right place for people who have enough time after retirement. Especially the cave-bath, named “Bokido” from where you can see the sun-rise is magnificent.

It’s a classy hotel, but a cheap price.

A long time ago, the charge of this inn was very expensive and I thought it was out of my league. But in the recent years, it’s getting cheaper, so it is a good deal. For spending a relaxed time after retirement, this calm hot-spring town is better than the glittering ones. Shirahama may be a bit too quiet, but it gives you warmth. You can visit other hot-springs in other hotels. Drinking beer on the beach is refreshing.

the gorgeous hotel / seduced by the hot-spring / the sand-bath

I don’t know where you live, but why don’t you go on a trip to the edge of Japan Proper? Apart from the Okinawa archipelago on the southern tip of the Japan Island is the Ibusuki hot-spring in the Kagoshima prefecture. If you want to spend your time gracefully after retirement, I recommend the famous inn, Hakusuikan. The gorgeous bathroom in which you can feel the Edo Culture, the steamed sand-bath which you can enjoy inside the hotel, the meal which is cooked with the quality ingredients such as sea-urchins and Ise prawns and the spacious room are all perfect. You can indulge yourself in the gorgeous atmosphere.
