I like castles a lot so I want to stay in near a castle.

Please recommend me an accommodation for a group of best friends, staying 2 nights near a castle and the budget is 10000yen per person.

You can walk to the Hirosaki Castle.

It is a 7-minute-walk on the up-slope to the Hirosaki Castle from the hotel. The Tower has a history and a charm which is matching the scenery. The hotel has a big bathroom from where you can see Mt. Iwaki. The delicious breakfast and the clean room contribute to its quality. In order to repair the stones of the Tower, it will be moved 70m away from the present position. So, for a few years from this autumn, it won’t be seen like it is seen now due to reclaiming the moat. It’s highly recommended not to miss visiting there now.

the hotel at the foot of the Kumamoto Castle

It is at the foot of the Kumamoto Castle, so it is the nearest hotel from the Castle. You can look up to the Castle from your room. It is the hotel managed by the Public Servants’ Mutual Aid Association, but the general public can also stay there. The charge is cheap and it is close to the center of the Kumamoto city, so, it is good for shopping, meals and sightseeing. It is a less well-known hotel which is good as a base.

very close to the Kumamoto Castle

The Kumamoto Castle was built by Kiyomasa Kato. The Castle Tower was reconstructed, but the stone wall is original and it is magnificent. There are souvenir shops near the Castle and it is enjoyable to browse around. Kyushu has become convenient after the Bullet train-line has opened. This hotel is a Mutual Aid one, so the service is standard, but the charge is cheap. The meal is unexpectedly good.

very close to the Himeji Castle

There is the Himeji Castle which has been associated with Kanbe Kuroda close by. At the moment, Himeji & Kanbe project is being held. The Himeji Castle is called Shirasagi (white egret) Castle in another name which is a magnificent Castle. It’s recommended to people who love castles. Also, you can visit Mr. Shosha which is also associated with Kanbe Kuroda. It is a 30-minute-ride on a bus from the Himeji station. It is called the “Mt. Hiei in the western area”. It is an old temple of the Tendai sect.

It is a less well-known place.

You can see the Tower of the Osaka Castle south side in front of you from the hotel. Between the Tower and the hotel, there are a lot of trees. The illuminated Castle is beautiful. This hotel is less well-known. In the case of meetings, when a meeting starts, the curtains are drawn back to see the Castle. They are confident about the Castle view.

it has a hot-spring charm / very close

It is in the middle of the Utsukushi-ga-hara hot-spring area which is close to central Matsumoto. You need a car to move around there, but it takes only 10-minutes to get to the center. I stayed there last year, but especially the room attendant’s response was splendid and I could stay there very pleasantly. I accidently stayed on the Soba (buckwheat noodles) Festival day of the Matusmoto Castle. I suggest that you should visit there on the following early morning before the place is crowded.

at the side of the moat of the Kumamoto Castle

It is located at the side of the moat, so you can see the Castle from your room. As it is a hotel, many people in a group can’t stay together, but they offer 2 rooms next to each other. As it is close to the busy street, eating out is easy. However, I recommend the buffet-styled Japanese and western breakfast at the hotel, whilst they have been focusing on the Kumamoto local cuisine.
