hotels and ryokans in japan

I’m going to Miyazaki on business. I’d like to enjoy myself, even though it is a business trip. Would you please tell me of the place where I can have a delicious “Jikei” (Japanese chicken) and a hotel near-by without a meal. My budget is \5,000 per night.

Even though it is a business trip, I’d like to enjoy myself a little. This time, as I’m going to Miyazaki, I want to enjoy the special cuisine, “Jikei” (Japanese chicken).
Please tell me your recommended place and a hotel.

the local food in Miyazaki “Grilled Chicken Thigh”

The local food “Grilled Chicken Thigh”, the Japanese Chicken Speciality shop is under the elevated railway on the north side of the Miyazaki station. It is a 3-minute-walk from the west-exit of the station. As the hotel is called “Sky Tower”, the view from the hotel is superb. The natural hot-spring is a 5-minute-walk from the hotel. It will ease your fatigue from your business-trip.

close to the station

It is the hotel in front of the station, due to the location. There are some hotels with the resort atmosphere, but it is far and it is over your budget. The Japanese chicken shop, “Suisen” near the station provides very delicious food, which goes well with alcohol.

the convenient hotel with a 2-minute-walk from the Miyazaki station west-exit

The entertaining town, called, “Nishitachi” is an 8-minute-walk from the hotel. The charge is \4,425 without a meal. The natural hot-spring facility, called “Aceland” is a 3-minute-walk. It is a 5-minute-walk to Miyazaki-yamagataya to buy some souvenirs. If you ask about the delicious Japanese chicken shop at the reception, they’ll tell you about a delicious shop. You can’t wait, can you?

the comfortable space as if you are at home

The hotel is located near the government office area. The prefectural office is in front of the hotel. It is the best location for business. The room looks like a one-room mansion (luxurious apartment-house) with a kitchen. It has a parking space. (\500 per night) It was very helpful and comfortable for a long-term business trip, as I felt as if I was at home. (The charge was \5,000 without a meal last year.) It is outside of the busy street, but it wasn’t too far. If you want to enjoy Japanese chicken, I recommend “Yotto”. You can enjoy not only grilled chicken, but also the Miyazaki-beef sashimi and various other local ingredients. The shop is near the Tachibana street 3-chome junction, which is between the Miyazqaki station and the hotel. It is a bit difficult to find it, so you should check it on the map in advance.

the cheap charged hotel close to the government office area

It is next to the Miyazaki council office and it is a 10-minute-walk to the busy street. It is in the best location near the river-side. The charge is the same as your request. You can have a very delicious Japanese chicken and the local food at the Kaikokagetsutei near the Miyazaki prefectural office. Also, there is another local food restaurant in the basement on the back street of the Miyazaki prefectural office. The charge is not expensive. If you want to enjoy it discreetly, it’s recommended. The cold soup and the Japanese chicken are delicious.

the hotel in the busy street

As the hotel is located in the busy street in Miyazaki, it is a little noisy, but the access is very convenient. When you put one step out of the hotel, it is the busy street, so it doesn’t suit children. But it suirs adults very well (laugh). The charge is cheap. It’s a big deal!

the convenient hotel on the busy street

This hotel is very close to the shop complex where you can enjoy Japanese chicken and shochu (sake). There is the café specialized in organic ingredients on the 1st floor of the hotel. There is a police box next to the hotel, so you feel secure. The main street, “Tachibana Street” is only 30m length in the Miyazaki city. It’s convenient for sightseeing.

It’s close to the Japanese chicken specialist’s shop.

You are going on business trip, so you want to stay at a business hotel, don’t you? There are many cheap business hotels in Miyazaki. I recommend the Hotle JAL City Miyazaki which is a chain hotel. It is in a walking distance from the Miyazaki station. The Japanese chicken specialist’s shop is “Suisen”. You can’t miss it, as it is close to the Miyazaki station. As it could be crowded, depending on the day of a week and the time. I suggest that you should book the time.

川端康成の小説『たまゆら』の舞台になった温泉

It is located along the River Oyodo. The charge is \4,000 per person without a meal for a Japanese-styled room. I always stay at this hotel, whenever I come to Miyazaki. A western-styled room with breakfast is slightly more expensive but within your budget. At dusk, the view of River Oyodo is fantastic. The hot-spring has quality water. It’s very comfortable.

resort hotel

I stayed at this hotel with my famliy on holiday. The hotel is a little dated, but the scenery through the window and the surrounding environment is really like a resort atmosphere. It is one of the places where my children and I want to go again. The Japanese chicken can be found easily in the town, but my recommendation is the spicy ones which have been pickled in the red-pepper extract and they are sold at the kiosk of the hotel.
We indulged ourselves in the resort hotel atmosphere, so we didn’t go out at all and spent our time inside the hotel, having various foods from the kiosk.

It’s located at the exit of the busy street.

Around the Nishi-tachibana street is the busiest street in the Miyazaki city. So, I recommend Marix. The charge is \3,150 without a meal. The Toyoko Inn is nearby. Marix has the annexe named “Lagoon” nearby. This annexe has a hot-spring facility called “Paupau”. I recommend, “Kawagoe” as the shop for the Japanese chicken. The cucumber is excellent as an Otooshi (an appetizing small dish served as soon as a customer sits down in a Japanese bar).
